     A Baby's Breath for Mary
Shush. . .listen, now:
the dark hour is gone;
Solstice tidings blink on;
Mary's Child is renewed:
Christened with morning dew.

Pure is the life of this blessed
Baby’s Breath,
A hopeful sigh saying, “Namaste’ ".
A renewal sign
“My heart --
Text Box: Baby’s Breath: Flower of pure heart, Innocence   to the heart of mankind”.

Medea's Legacy

             Medea’s Legacy

Crushed violets,
midnight-blue scent,

Greek lullaby threads the night
 She floats and lingers.
Spitting an artful net
My-Lady Spider weaves and spins--
Hearts swaddled amongst the stone corners

Spinning Spider, will you take me there?
Wrapped in your silken love? Will you lick me
Clean; and, stop the red upon my legs and up above?
Or, will you bite my mewling soul and yank it back--from love?

Wear my pestle shoe
Where under once a clump of baby violets grew
Let me suckle at your breast--your nightshade brew
Before the morning dawn and cleansing dew.

Now, Medea: stroke my eyes to sleep alone;
Drain my heart ‘til dry--as desert bone;
Swaddle me in your carded blisters; and,
Hang me in the cornerstones--amongst my sisters.

Take and wear my pestle shoe
Where under once a clump of baby violets grew.
Now, before the morning dawn and cleansing dew,
Suckle me at your breast--let loose its nightshade brew

At last, Medea,  swaddled in your carded blisters;
Stroke my eyes --to sleep alone;
Drain my heart ‘til dry--as Roman bone;
Drop me in the ancient stones to sleep amongst my sisters.

Poem: boy to Man

http://kaybishop.wordpress.com/2012/04/10/picassos-shapes/

Inspired to memorialize the bullied boy who finally just sat down
in the school yard; pull out a gun; and, shot himself --to death.

Knot by Knot

block by block
color by color
knot by knot
vintage wool
is looped and knotted.

Now
fingering, savoring
the last little bit--
wandering, exploring
the wreckage of 52nd
looking for daddy's little dolly

that was the wonder--
the burden of you.

Now.

finished, yet unfinished
heart formed, yet unformed
too early, too late. . .

i unravel the last double
crochet

tie off the umbilical
no need to stay.
